Daily Prompt: Personal Space

To what extent is your blog a place for your own self-expression and creativity vs. a site designed to attract readers? How do you balance that? If sticking to certain topics and types of posts meant your readership would triple, would you do it?

I am glad to have a new follower, as in most cases I find something on that persons blog that interests me. If I could triple my audience by limiting what I post to write about to certain topics, not going to happen.

My blog has a personal touch and connection. I mainly write about how I face life’s challenges, and annoyances as a Buddhist. I am not a monk, nor a scholar, just a person trying the best I can, to juggle work, relationships, personal time and those other things that demand a share of my time. To me free time is something that is priceless, and I have to pay for it, though juggling other demands.

However I choose how much, I will share. So my blog is a personal look at a publicly lived life.

Public or private?

  1. and you enjoy it, which matters most, right?

  2. Like you, I like the idea of writing as personal expression. I enjoy when others read my work, and I like the idea of a community of readers and writers exchanging ideas, but I don’t need that to enjoy the writing personally.

  6. Love the quotes. If you dream hard enough your dreams will become a reality. Here is my dream becoming a reality as we move to Ecuador. Hope you enjoy.
