Want to see me run?

For any of you who want  good chuckle join me in Calgary, AB, Canada on May 26, 2013, and watch me run. I will be doing the 5km  at the Scotiabank Marathon. I am doing this for a few reasons, as many of you know, I am trying to get back into shape, as all the things that get worse with age, happen to get better with exercise. As I enjoy multitasking, I am helping out the Calgary Drop-in Center by fundraising at the same time.

The Calgary Drop-in  Center provides services for the homeless, and nearly homeless in one of Canada’s booming cities. They help people transition back to being functioning independently, and being self-sufficient. For many a bad decision in the past has led them to this point, others suffer from a medical issue. We have a choice, we can judge, or we can accept this is where they are, and give them a hand up. There are many ways to help, from donating items such as clothing, electronics, appliances or furniture we no longer need, to donating of our time. Another way is to give financially, and for many in the world the easiest way.

If you would like to donate an amount to help, here is the link to my personal page. I have set a minimum goal, but hope to exceed it.

Thank you for considering helping the Calgary Drop-in Center.

  1. good for you Keith and good luck!

  2. Unfortunately I’m a bit too far to come watch 😉 Good on you for doing it for a good cause

  3. Good to know that you are supporting a cause – two causes – not to forget yourself 🙂 Have fun at the marathon 🙂
