Weekly Photo Challenge: Renewal

These two pictures are just a small glimpse into a place I visit for renewal. It allows me to relax, unwind from the hectic modern city life. To breathe deeply, smell fresh flowers, hear birds singing. Also on Saturday mornings, my meditation class meets here, so that offers another form of renewal. The Dharma talk gives new knowledge, which causes new thoughts. Finally a vegan lunch, and tea afterwards with friends, and I feel like the weeks burdens, are not so significant, that I can’t walk around with a spring in my step, and a smile for all I meet.

If you would like to see more, next time your in Vancouver, Canada stop in at the International Buddhist Temple, where many more visual delights will cause you to listen to the silence, and feel renewed.

  13. Thanks for the link, Keith — the peaceful nature of your photos remind me of the temple on Oahu, the Byodo-In! The gardens at the Vancouver temple look so lush. I think the garden-like setting only adds to the sense of renewal. ~ Kat
