Weekly Photo Challenge: Silhouette
Here is my silhouette. It’s not a perfect silhouette, rather it’s part of a series of shots I took to try and capture a piece of out door art in Vancouver, Canada. I keep it as a reminder to re-shoot the project in spring, and a different time of day. Getting a partial silhouette is easy as seen here, so enjoy some of the more masterful ones I found and have linked below:

Wow! I particularly like the photo which has the sun full behind it and the words ‘the rhythm of the tide’ – is it from a poem?
I am not sure if it is a poem, I included all the photos to show the saying that is found on the inside of the ring.
It’s fantastic – a great series of pics! I would love to see it… is it public art or is it a memorial of some kind?
Public art along the seawall in Vancouver. Most of the western Canadian cities have a 1% for art provision in the budgets for projects.
How wonderful, how visionary of whoever funds the cities!
thank you for linking to my silhouettes in Brussels …
Your welcome, I try and link a few to several every week, also try not to just choose the same people very week.
Awesome series of photos Keith! I really love outdoor art. It’s almost similar to my post for this week’s challenge.
Have a good day Keith! 🙂
I recently realized that most of the cities I have chosen to live in, have a policy of supporting outdoor art in public spaces. Even if I don’t like a piece it is still welcome, as it adds flavor to the experiences.
Yes definitely! Good thing it’s free too right? 🙂
Free to look at but we pay for it in our taxes, which in most western Canadian Cities means 1% of any construction project is set aside for public art.
You have a point there actually. 🙂 It’s the same here in the UK.
