Billy Graham is a Southern Baptist Minister who through the way he has lived his life shows he believes what he preaches. With may televangelists falling from grace, he was upheld as one of the most admired men or women in a poll by Gallup. He was on this list 49 years without fail and appeared on it 55 times. He had a policy of never being alone with any lady but his wife Ruth, to avoid any suspicions or innuendos, and this became known as the Billy Graham rule. Politically he did not endorse any candidate however he personally supported some. He wasn’t perfect and he did change his stance on some issues over the years, however in most cases these were movements towards inclusiveness. He bailed Martin Luther King out of jail at one point.

  1. While I don’t share many of his perspectives, I have always admired Rev. Graham’s deep conviction and willingness to walk the walk and talk the talk. His sincerity and commitment to his faith is truly laudable.

    • I don’t agree with everything he preaches, however he has become a better person over the years. He also as you say walked the walk, according to his beliefs, which is the best any of us can do.
