Tenzin Gyatso, better known by his title, H.H. The Dalai lama. According to Tibetan Buddhists, he is the reincarnation of his predecessors, and also a manifestation of the Bodhisattva of Compassion. He has reached out to other faiths to build bridges between all peoples, regardless of faith. He is an outspoken believer in protecting the environment. Has stood up for women’s rights and equality. Is a practicing believer of non-violence. As well as covering many other topics important to life today, among these sexuality, reproductive issues, and economics. On the topic of abortion, he states that while it is a form of killing, in a few instances, where the child might be born in a vegitaive state or other serious impediment to living life, that perhaps abortion is a wiser alternative, but these need to be decided on a case by case basis.

Just reading “The Dalai Lama – A spiritual autobiography” – page after page of wisdom and compassion; and some funny things too!

    • I truly wish I could speak many languages, for some of the teachers I mention English is not their mother tongue. However with the warm humor that shines through, it would be a joy to listen to in a tongue they are comfortable in.
