5 unhealthy actions from 1

In this consumerist driven world there are 5 actions happening which are poisoning us. 1. The environment, our air, water and the rest of the environment are becoming toxic to us. 2. Because of the environment becoming toxic, our food is now unhealthy for us. 3. Our bodies because of the lack of good food now suffer from more degenerative disease, and our weakened immune systems are falling victim to a large number of communicable diseases. 4. Because we do not get proper nutrition, our minds now fall into a delusional state easier. 5. Because we live in an ever increasing state of delusion, our actions are becoming less and less pure. Look at the news and you will daily find stories about environmental disasters. I am not talking about the natural ones that have always been with us, rather the man made or influenced ones. From the contamination of air, land and sea from the reactors in Japan, which now looks like it will surpass Chernobyl in worldwide effects. They say that by spring of next year the debris will be washing up on Canada’s west coast and by next summer we will find evidence of it in the fish caught to feed people. Melamine has been found in dairy products in China, and foods made from the contaminated milk have been shipped around the world. Produce grown in part of the world is now considered unfit to eat due to industrial pollution. Over half the people in the world no longer receive enough food to eat, while another one third are mainly subsiding on a diet of fast food, and precooked meals, most of which are too high in salt and sugar, grossly over calorie, and poorly balanced nutritionally. There have been studies that show children in rich developed countries are arriving at school without having eaten breakfast. For lunch they have a preloaded card, to let them buy a burger, fries and drink, that has up to 300% their daily sodium requirement. Sodium affects brain chemistry, and is addictive, in large quantities. Poor or nonexistent nutrition, leading to overweight children who don’t get even one hour per day of physical activity, has resulted in children who can’t function at their grade levels becoming a serious problem. The solution favored by school boards, governments and harried parents, policies of every kid passes under self esteem guidelines. Then business complains that high school graduation means nothing anymore as an indicator of ability, they are increasingly requiring a Community College degree for even menial positions.
