Valentine’s Day 2011
As a Buddhist we should treat every day as Valentine’s Day. However it is a good reminder to us males to remember to show our appreciation to the lady in our lives. Whether she has been your loyal partner for 50 years or, you have only really started to get to know her. It is a day to celebrate those qualities that she has, those that sometimes men forget about. We give flowers to represent the beauty she brings to our lives. Chocolates represent the healthy sweetness she adds to our daily lives. A card with words and something written by us, to thank her for the knowledge she brings. If we take her out for dinner, it’s a small token for all the effort she puts into our relationship, running the household, keeping us settled and content. Today regardless of what we say, do or give, it’s a reminder of how thankful we need to be of our partners.
