A Western Buddhist's Travels

Sightseeing & detours on the path of enlightenment

Daily Prompt: All About Me

Explain why you chose your blog’s title and what it means to you.

My blog’s title has changed since I started writing here, over two years ago. It started out as Keith the Green’s Blog, and I found while I incorporate my green streak, in my posts, I wrote more from the perspective of applying the teachings of The Buddha to everyday life. So I changed it to A Western Buddhist‘s Travels. Life is a journey we travel, and the path I choose to follow to the best of my ability, has sign posts and directions that he Buddha and other wise teachers have left for us. My tagline of “Sightseeing & detours on the path of enlightenment” I chose because I write mainly about life, and use the daily prompts. So if you are the type who wants to get to the destination, with a route straighter than a crow flies, you’ll pass me at some point along the way. It’s fine, I may have stopped o have coffee or tea and tiramisu with a friend. Perhaps, I’ll have decided to stop and take some pictures, or look a some of the great photo’s you have posted. We all have our own path in life, and when they converge for a while, lets share some knowledge, and have a cup of coffee, or check out some of the great recipes or restaurants listed here. As a Buddhist, life is about living in the moment, not worrying about tomorrow. Thanks for joining me for the journey, may we all learn from each other, and everyday leave our world in the same or better shape than we found it when we woke up this morning.

  4. Hey – we are all on a journey – glad I met you along the way. I’m from eastern Canada ad married to a Buddhist lady from Thailand.
Interestingly enough I was checking around for ways to change my blog name without losing the followers I have. And there you were – fellow Canadian – Buddhist and blog name changer.
Any suggestions on how to change the name of my blog would be greatly appreciated.
Take care and have a fabulous day.

I started mine as Keiththegreen’s blog and changed without losing any followers. It’s easy to do, and you won’t loose any current followers, as the link they have will auto change,
