Two milestones, 500 views for one post, 1000 comments

Today I just want to say thanks to all of you, for these 2 milestones are because of all of you.

First of all my first post to accumulate 500 viewers, Care to guess? Answer here. Yup the little post I wrote tongue in cheek in response to writers block, has been the little post that could.  It has never had a day with over 25 viewers yet has accumulated over 500 views. Here are the monthly stats since I posted it.

Months and Years

Jan Feb Mar Apr May Jun Jul Aug Sep Oct Nov Dec Total
2012 28 87 92 106 110 423
2013 80 80

So be careful what you write, it will be around for a long time.

Secondly is the one that I think is the better stat to celebrate, 1000 comments. This one means more to me than the number of views, for this is the engagement with you. From praise, to differing opinions, to gentle correction, I have enjoyed reading your comments. So today is your day my friends, thanks for having joined me on the path, and let’s see where it takes us in the future. Some comments have even prompted ideas for posts.

Those who I listed above are just a sample of the greater bloggers here on WordPress. If you haven’t had the pleasure of reading their blogs, take the time to visit them, for I’m sure you will be clicking follow afterwards.

Getting awards is nice, however these milestones show the value of a blog to me. As writers we post our words, hoping that what we post has inspired someone, caused another to laugh, perhaps helped ease someone’s burden. It is only through comments to we realize that our blogs have an impact. So I look forward to more of these milestones of my own, and contributing to your milestones

  2. Congrats, Keith. I’ll try to be circumspect. ;-)

  3. Congrats on the two milestones. You’ve piqued my interest and now I want to get into my dashboard and see how many views my most popular post has accumlated.

    • For me it was a shock when I first looked, as that wasn’t the post I expeted to see as #1. But when I delved into the stats, I found it just kept climbing one here, thre there.

      • I understand that… very similar to my About page – it is by far my most popular post for “likes” and the one I spent the least amount of time putting together or thinking about afterwards.

  4. Thank you, good article! Also I read good advices for increase my views here: http://buyyoutubeviewsreviews.org/review/500views-reviews/
