Daily Prompt: Dear Mom

Write a letter to your mom. Tell her something you’ve always wanted to say, but haven’t been able to.

It’s been over ten years since your time here was through. To this day, I still have memories pop up of you. I remember when you would scold me for sneaking a cookie before dinner, now I have given the cookie jar away. The times when you sat in the audience, watching me in the school play, playing sports, learning to play the viola, debating, also encouraging me to do my best. That no matter how tired you were there was always time to chat about life. There are times when I have to decide how to handle things, and think now what would mom have said? The love you and dad weaved through out my childhood, giving me a living template on how to build a relationship, with love, compassion and equality for all.

I haven’t had the chance to say Thank you in person for years, so I will do it here.
