Today is World Animal Day.
It started since 1931 in Florence, Italy. The 4th of October was originally
chosen for World Animal Day because it is the feast day of Francis of Assisi, a nature lover and patron saint
of animals and the environment. World Animal Day has become a day for remembering and paying tribute to
all animals and the people who love and respect them.
Spirited discussion is the intent for this blog to get people thinking and talking. In no way is it intended to offend anyone. May get a little controversial at times.
