9/11 – A moment of Silence @ 9:11pm
Today is a day to reflect on peace. 11 years ago thousands of people lost their lives, and since then even more have lost their lives in the war on terror. On November 11 much of the world observes a moment of silence for those who died in the wars, today lets honor the civilians who have died from war, terrorism, and other acts of violence. Let 9/11 be remembered, but let it be used as a new beginning as well.
Take a moment to meditate, pray or think thoughts of peace for the world at 9:11 pm today where ever you are. Christian, Jewish, Muslim, Buddhist, Wicca, Hindu, and all the other beliefs in the world, take a moment and believe in peace. It is one way we can all contribute to peace in memory of those who left before their lives had run their course. I chose 9:11pm as it is after the deaths had occurred, as a time to reflect and desire a more peaceful tomorrow. Also it does not coincide with the days memorial services, which are primarily held during the morning.
